The Bookshelf

Joe and I were looking for the perfect bookshelf for ages. The problem is, unless you want to go IKEA, furniture really does get very expensive very quickly. However, once you stop renting and actually own a house, you don't want to stuff it with veneered IKEA pieces. So whenever something new is needed and you realize it'll cost something close to a grant, you feel it is a major commitment and want this investment to stick around for a while. We wanted our bookshelf to be 1) nice 2) modern but inoffensive 3) spaced differently. We settled on STRING. Just as IKEA it is a Swedish company but with very different standards and finishes. We're happy! Now we only need to get all of our book out of storage and come up with some lovely decorational pieces - maybe vintage finds to mix it up a bit.
