Plum Marzipan Rolls

Last weekend I made delicious plum-marzipan-rolls for our breakfast treat (hangover cure) and they turned out super delicious and were very easily whipped up. Simply make a yeast dough by mixing / kneading together 400g flour, 1 tbsp dry yeast, 2 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp soft butter, 1 tsp salt and about 250ml warm water until you get a smooth dough (mix in the water gradually so that you don't overdose and get a sticky dough). Leave to rise for about 30-60 minutes until twice the size. In the meantime, chop 300g of plums and 200-300g of marzipan (depending on how sweet you want it) into small chunks and mix them together. Once your dough is ready, knead again and then roll into a large square on a floured surface until about 5mm thick. Spread the plum-marzipan mixture onto it evenly, start rolling it like you would  Swiss Roll and cut into 3cm thick slices. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown at 200°C, take out of the oven, spread some single cream on top in addition to a little sprinkle of vanilla sugar. Return to the oven for another 5 minutes, take out, ENJOY!!!
