Valentine's Dinner

I have never been a big fan of Valentine's Day. In my opinion, it is very overrated, overpriced and over-romanticized. I love buying a card for Joe every year, however, I can never justify a present or a dinner out (particularly at those exorbitant Valentine's menu prices). I much prefer having little date nights spontaneously every now and then or getting little gifts for Joe whenever I happen to find something that I think he'd really like. To make sure we don't just let the day go by unnoticed, we decided to cook a special dinner at home ourselves. The menu we decided on is fettuccine with scallops & prosciutto for the starter, steak with salad & potato wedges as our main and chocolate & coffee fondants as the dessert.
